What Actually Matters to Employers

After looking at hundreds of job postings on BirJob, here's the honest truth about certifications:

• A certification alone won't get you hired. It opens the door. Your portfolio, interview performance, and practical skills walk you through it.
• The project matters more than the certificate. If Google Data Analytics taught you to build a dashboard that answered a real question — that dashboard IS the credential, not the PDF.
• Stack certifications strategically. "Google Data Analytics + HubSpot Inbound Marketing" tells a story: you're a marketer who can analyze data. That combination is more powerful than either one alone.
• Put them on LinkedIn immediately. LinkedIn has a specific "Licenses & Certifications" section. Recruiters filter by these. If it's not on LinkedIn, it doesn't exist.
